Different Fantasy Baseball Leagues

Fantasy baseball is a game where participants manage Major League baseball players. The people playing the game compete against each other using the baseball players real life statistics to earn points. The fantasy baseball leagues have been around for a while.

Many of the fantasy baseball leagues play the game for money. The owners pay a entry fee when the season starts. They may also be charged for activities during the season such as free agent acquisitions and trades. The money is collected and then given out to the winner or winners at the end of the season. Leagues that are established often have a trophy or plaque that is passed to the champion that year.

There are different fantasy baseball leagues to play on. One way that they play is called head-to-head. The head-to-head format has each team play against a different team every week to earn wins through the points scored for that week. The teams with the most wins when the season comes to a close will usually enter into a playoff. Another way to play is called rotisserie. With this way of playing statistics are compiled by the players from each team and then ranked by category. The team with the highest rank when the season is over is the winner. One more league in fantasy baseball that you can play in is the keeper leagues. In these leagues the baseball pool rolls over into other years. At the end of the year the team manager can decide which players they want to keep and then fill in the rest of the roster before the season opener. Some leagues also add on a salary cap with their teams.

So as you can see, fantasy baseball is just like being a manager of a baseball team, there are a lot of things you need to know to play the game and win.
